Died three weeks after son’s birth
His fiancé had given birth to his son three weeks earlier.
He had always tried to appear tough, but his siblings brought out his soft side. His sister’s mother said, “He would comfort them when they cried, carry them when they were tired, and always try to make them laugh.” He bought his little sister a tea set and would patiently play with her, sipping the pretend tea and imaginary food she served him.
On Jan. 19, 2019, Malenko Antwaun Cooley, 18, was reported missing from Valley, Alabama. He was found three days later in the backseat of a vehicle parked in a Walmart in LaGrange, Georgia, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
