Heart balloons mark the crime scene
She wore a baggy black shirt, her collarbone and skinny arms exposed through the large sleeves. She held her long black hair back, exposing a wide smile and tired eyes.
Things weren’t easy for her. She was possibly in a relationship with her uncle, a man 21 years older than she was and the father of her 3-month-old child. Her cousin helped her escape, but her taste of freedom didn’t last long.
On Dec. 13, 2018, Leona Samlall, 18, and her cousin were allegedly shot by her uncle in Highland Springs, Virginia.
