Kain Allen Schild

Age 15

Clarksville, Iowa

A true outdoorsman, a tragic accident

The lake rests calmly in the background. He poses with his newly caught fish as the sun beams down on him. Being outdoors was home to him: he was in love with fishing, hunting and trapping.

The Clarksville High School freshman was already a hard-working young man. He went to church and worked at New Day Dairy.

On May 10, 2018, Kain Allen Schild, 15, was accidentally shot and killed at Norton’s Pond in rural Clarksville, Iowa, while hanging out with his friends. To prevent further tragedy and heartbreak, Kain’s family encourages those interested in weapons to take safety classes.
