Loose gun leads to lost life
He was just 11 years old, but already “an avid hunter and very familiar with guns,” according to the sheriff’s account of his death. He had also taken a hunter’s education class.
He found a pistol in his parents’ closet. Minutes later, the police had arrived, and his mother was performing CPR. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Jacob Shane Hoch died on March 21, 2018, in Martinsville, Texas from a single gunshot wound to the head.
