At age 18, he was already a father of four as well as a devoted son. He talked to everyone in his family every day.
His smile was wide and never-ending. “He had a big personality,” his cousin said. He had gotten his life on track, with aspirations for the future; he was planning to join the military. A high school football star, he dreamed of playing for the NFL and providing for his family.
Jacari Demon Maddox, 18, was shot and killed in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 12, 2018.
