Her makeup was perfectly done for the parties she attended and the pictures she took. She always seemed camera-ready as her glossed lips pursed for the selfies she would snap.
"She was the life of the party,” her cousin Alondra Rodriquez said. “She was always so happy and would make everyone around her laugh.”
Genesis Marie McCarter-Berretto was an 18-year-old student at Northwest High School. On May 13, 2018, at an after-prom party for different high school in Frederick, Maryland, she was shot in the neck and killed. She was not the intended target, according to police.
