Don R. Cannon Jr.

Age 17

Atascocita, Texas

He was happy to be outside

He was a boy of the outdoors; he loved fishing and camping.

Nicknamed “DJ” by friends and family, he was a mischievous boy. He once stole his grandmother’s nice bedspreads with his friends to use in their tents while camping in the backyard. She took back the bedspreads. The next morning she discovered the boys sleeping soundly on the living room floor, wrapped in blankets.

On Sept. 30, 2018, Don R. “DJ” Cannon Jr., 17, was playing with a handgun with his friend when he was accidentally shot in the head in Atascocita, Texas.
