Delavin Monroe Card

Age 17

Shelby, North Carolina

Friend said he "had a good heart"

Genuine, happy and funny, he was nicknamed “Deli.”

Sometime in the night or early morning, there were three piercing shots from a firearm. One in his chest. Another in his right arm. A third in his back. As the sun was rising, he was found lying in the grass behind an apartment. "He had a good heart,” said Keshonna Black, a close friend.

Delavin Monroe Card, 17, was found dead of gunshot wounds in Shelby, North Carolina, on June 21, 2018. The suspect charged in his murder was 25 years old.
