Dejah Adkins

Age 16

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

New driver license, never used again

She was beautiful, with blonde hair and a love for math and animals. She could make you laugh with how funny she was. She had recently gotten her driver license.

When it happened, she was almost 20 miles north of her home in Franklin, Wisconsin. Family members had no idea why she was so far away. “The way our generation is going down is really heartbreaking,“ a friend said. “Whoever knows something needs to stand up and say something.”

Dejah Adkins, 16, was shot alongside her boyfriend on June 10, 2018, near 87th and Congress streets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
