Chicano Kobe Phillips

Age 18

Washington, District of Columbia

A momma’s boy and young father

Known as “Cano,” he was a momma’s boy whose mother posted an image of herself puckering up with him on Facebook. At 18-years old, he was the father to a child of his own.

He was hanging out in a second-floor apartment, just around the corner from his home. Afterwards, a GoFundMe page was launched so his family could move and “be sure of their safety.”

Chicano Kobe Phillips, 18, was shot at 1:02 a.m. on Feb. 16, 2018, by an unidentified gunman in the Washington Highlands neighborhood of Washington, D.C. He died two days later.
