Carnandez A. Davis

Age 17

New Orleans, Louisiana

New family never to be whole

When he wasn’t playing with his friends, he was writing music. His dreams were big for the future, hoping for a family and a successful rap career.

In the spring, he became a father to a baby boy. He looked at him like he held the world. Nothing could stop him from the future he so desired. Nothing except a bullet.

On July 5, 2018, Carnandez A. Davis, 17, was shot and killed in New Orleans, Louisiana. He ran to the home of his 11-year-old cousin, who answered the door and went to get help. He was pronounced  dead at the hospital.
