“Bad Boy” lost to Baltimore’s streets

His friends and family affectionately called him “Bad Boy.” He was described as playful, loving, and smart.

He attended Carver Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore. Those closest to him said they never talked to him without laughing. The day he left, his aunt posted: “Today I've los(t) my nephew to these horrible streets .... Please just pray for us.”

At 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2018, Beontray L. Ellis, 17, was shot multiple times in the 1200 block of Druid Hill Avenue in central Baltimore. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died hours later.
