After-school ice cream, pedicures with mom

She had a beautiful smile and a personality that others described as “wonderful, loving, unselfish, angelic.”

She made the most out of every moment, from treating her brother to ice cream after school to getting pedicures with her mom. She came from a hunting family and even went to hunting camp with her boyfriend. She was with a 13-year-old one day when he held a gun to her head. It’s not loaded, he said.

Alyssa Marie Neitz, 17, died in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, on Feb. 23, 2018, of an accidental gunshot wound to the head.
