Ty'Dre Shyheim Hailey

Age 18

Anderson, South Carolina

She didn’t know it was real

A student at Westside High School, he was surrounded by people who loved him. Like his three sisters and five brothers. Like his mother. Like his friends who called “Dre!” down the hallways on their way to class.

It was one of his brothers who drove him to the hospital. It was one of those friends who pulled the trigger. She pleaded to police; she “didn’t know it was real” and she “didn’t mean to.”

Ty'Dre Shyheim Hayley, 18, was shot on Sept. 13, 2018 in Anderson County, South Carolina. He died in the AnMed Health Medical Center emergency room.
