Wise and mature beyond her years
Her favorite subject was math. She adored soccer and “My Little Ponies.” She was known as wise and mature beyond her years.
Sometimes she would come home from school to find her mother was fighting with her boyfriend. In 2012, her mother dropped her brother while her boyfriend threatened her with a knife. In 2017, her mother attempted to file a restraining order against her boyfriend.
Lillia Lopez, 10, was shot and killed by her mother’s boyfriend on June 11, 2018 in Orlando, Florida; her brother, half-sister and half-brother also were shot and killed after a 21-hour standoff with police.
