What happened after the road rage

He had “never experienced a more emotionally polarizing day,” his father said on his 14th birthday.

The boy was known as inquisitive and independent. “He often did what he thought was right,” his father said. “Even if it was out in left field.”

On June 14, 2018, Vaughn Scott Bigelow Jr., 13, was shot in Westminster, Colorado, by a man who followed his mother’s car into the parking lot of a dentist's office after a road rage incident. His mother, a younger brother and a witness were critically wounded. Vaughn died, 24 days before his 14th birthday.
