The 15-year-old “held the house together”

He was a tenth-grader at Charter High School for Architecture and Design in Philadelphia. He was family-oriented and loved his siblings, according to his grandmother. “[He] held the house together,” she said.

“[He] showed up every day,” the interim CEO of his school said. “He was trying do the right thing.”

On Nov. 9, 2018 at 7:40 p.m. in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Trevonte Jamal Marks, 15, was riding a bike to the store with two of his friends when three men jumped out of a vehicle and fired 41 rounds at the trio. Trevonte was hit six times and died shortly after.
