He loved stories about mythic heroes

He was a lover of mythical creatures and superheroes.

His mother and her boyfriend headed out to take care of some business, leaving him and his two siblings at home. They asked a nearby neighbor to occasionally check in on the children. The neighbor said the children seemed to be just fine watching TV. Then came a pop, and one sibling came frantically “running over,” the police chief said. Something bad had happened.

Five-year-old Timothy William Deatherage Jr. died from an accidental shotgun discharge on July 2, 2018 in Hartville, Missouri.
