Donated organs, last act of kindness

Perhaps it’s a cliche to say that she influenced her peers. But it is true. She pushed a friend to go to school and graduate, forever impacting his life.

A born leader and ROTC Cadet, she graduated from Hamilton High School.

On July 23 2018, Sydney Anise Garcia-Tovar, 16, was in a car with three others near Tyler’s Creek Apartments on Wildbranch Road in Fairfield, Ohio, when she was shot in the head. She was helicoptered to University of Cincinnati Hospital West Chester and pronounced brain dead in the morning. In her last act of kindness, her organs and tissues were donated to others in need.
