Little sister’s help couldn’t save him

He was a compassionate and loving older brother to his sister, known for making her smile and laugh. He would occasionally help her off the bus after his day at Hahnville High School, where he was pursuing his dream of becoming an engineer. At night, he would relax and play video games.

One night turned deadly, though, when his father allegedly pulled a handgun on his family.

Seth Hunter Veillon, 15, was shot by his father in Paradis, Louisiana, on April 22, 2018. His mother, also shot, was in critical condition when Seth’s sister, 9, had to flag down help, believing her whole family was dead.
