Ricky Eugene Taylor

Age 13

McGee, Missouri

History lover won’t write his own

He was full of spirit, liked to make people laugh, and loved his family. He had a passion for history, but he wouldn’t live to write his own.

He attended Greenville Junior High. He loved geology and he collected many odd rocks. On Oct. 24, 2018, Ricky Eugene Taylor, 13, returned home from school with another teenager, a 15-year-old boy; they were the only two in the house in McGee, Missouri. The sheriff’s department said Ricky’s mother and 10-year-old sister later found him unresponsive with “what appeared to be a gunshot wound” to his head.
