He was a senior at Northwestern Senior High School. Miami residents and police officers organized a peace walk in his honor.

“Rickey was a sweetheart, very outgoing, a family kid,” his aunt Shirelda Huntley Thomas told NBC 6. “We never had any problems out of Rickey.”

Rickey Dixon, 18, was among four individuals gunned down by a group of unidentified men on April 8, 2018, in an alleyway in Liberty City, his neighborhood in Miami, Florida. Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami Fire Rescue personnel.
