Richard Lee Short III

Age 17

Turlock, California

Planning ahead. Ran out of time.

He had so much ahead of him: A new job in construction, working alongside his father. Hopes of joining the military. Or, just maybe, a career as a barber.

In his family’s eyes, he was an “amazing young man” who was loving and had an inseparable bond with his two sisters. In his girlfriend's eyes, he was “driven to do the most he could.”

On the evening of June 11, 2018, Richard Lee Short III, 17, was fatally shot in the 300 block of Mitchell Avenue in Turlock, California.
