In a song called “Long Live Quan,” his friend Telvin Thomas sang: “He was my brother, man. Y’all don’t know how it hurts....”

Quantavius Daniels, 16, was shot and killed at about 8 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, in the 550 block of Naples Road in Jackson, Mississippi. The suspect arrested and charged with his murder the next day was 21 years old.
