Pierre Hurtado Jr.

Age 6

Modesto, California

Never made it to elementary school

An adorable, jovial child with beautiful brown eyes and chubby cheeks. A sweet son and brother, he was so young with so much to offer the world.

He was deeply important to his father. “I just feel like I lost my whole world, you know,” his father said. “They didn’t have to go that way. They were happy kids, you know, it wasn’t their fault.”

On April 22, 2018, in Modesto, California, Pierre Hurtado Jr., 6, was fatally shot along with his 4-year-old brother by their mother, who took her own life moments later.
