Philip Ray Baker III

Age 18

Houma, Louisiana

A fisher, a hunter, almost 19

His 19th birthday was 25 days away. A brother to three sisters, he was a fisher, a hunter and loved sports.

One day in a park in Houma, Louisiana, he began arguing with a 19-year-old friend over a $10 drug debt. Two other friends had a gun, and they gave it to the 19-year-old.

On January 27, 2019, Philip "NuNu" Ray Baker, III, 18, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died at a local hospital. His friend was charged with murder. “This is something that could have been resolved by just communicating,” Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman said afterward.
