His sister misses him every day

He had attended both Abramson Sci Academy, one of the highest-performing schools in New Orleans, and Travis Hill School, a high school located within the New Orleans jail.

His closest friends and family, including his adoring older sister, said he had a “good heart.” They called him “Manny.”

On April 14, 2018, Pernell “Manny” Richardson, 17, died in a shootout that took place on North Prieur Street and Franklin Avenue in New Orleans. He was found inside a car with multiple gunshots wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
