Nicknames are given to those who impact others. Especially someone of good character. His nickname was “Boy Boy.”

His family, friends and neighbors thought of him as someone with a “one of a kind” personality. Living in a neighborhood like his, he was considered a diamond in the rough. Police were constantly on his street responding to different crimes.

His peers described him as caring and helpful.

Peniamina “Ben” Romero, 17, died in a double homicide in the alley of the 4800 block of Holt Avenue in Fresno, California, on July 30, 2018.
