Nicholas Thomas Mitchell Rodriguez

Age 17

Aurora, Illinois

An only child, and everyone’s friend

He told his mom that she was his best friend. They had their moments, she says, but he was always there for her. All they had was each other.

He was there for others, too. A former teacher told his mom that he had a ton of friends, yet was always kind to the kids who were shy and not as popular.

At 8:50 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, Nicholas Thomas Mitchell Rodriguez, 17, was shot multiple times on the sidewalk of Spencer Street in Aurora, Illinois. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
