He was the youngest of four children, and he loved music, video games, and dribbling basketballs with his siblings. He had a special bond with his big sister, who always gave him whatever he wanted.

He used to be called “Nickel,” but as he matured, he wanted to be known as “Nick.” He took special interest in criminal justice, science and automotive classes. He received the GRIT award for his leadership in his physics class.

Nicholas Deshaun Robinson, 18, died on Dec. 19, 2018, in Zion, Illinois, after being shot in a parking lot. According to his obituary, Nick had a baby brother who was “awaiting his arrival in Heaven.”
