He said he wasn’t feeling well.

A single pop erupted into the cold night air. His friend feared a flat tire but then noticed a hole in the rear window.

That’s when he told his friend he wasn’t feeling well. The driver was about to head home but then realized things were serious.

Mohamad Shah Bin Salim, 16, had been shot Feb. 12 while his vehicle was stopped at a red light on 59th Avenue. He died later that night from his injuries at a Phoenix, Arizona, hospital.
