#RestEasyMikey, his town cried

When he smiled, everyone around him seemed to smile, too. He was known to radiate joy.

To his friends, he was “Mikey”, the funny varsity football player. To his sister, he was the “sweetest angel.” To his classmates, he was known to dance and sing in school. To his parents, he was their dirt-bike riding son. He meant the world to them.

On June 26, 2018, 17-year-old Michael M. Pacheco was sitting with friends at his kitchen table in Dighton, Massachusetts, when one of them accidentally shot and killed him. His friend was later charged with involuntary manslaughter.
