Joined her family on Christmas morning
In the picture, she’s smiling, dressed in a white, fancy dress and clinging to a wooden pole over the water. Small, white flowers bloom from her hair and a heart-shaped pendant hangs from her neck.
She was 8 and had a brother one year younger. They lived in a tan, two-story house in Homestead, Florida.
On Dec. 16, 2018, McKenna Presnar and her family were shot by her father before he killed himself. Although the rest of her family died that day, McKenna clung to life another nine days before passing away Christmas morning.
