Kids at home, mom at work

It was a Monday when their mother left the children home while she was at work.

“I can understand she was at work, empathized Dora Jones, a family member. “When you don't have the help, you have to do what you have to do," she said.

Marquez Truitt, 7, was home on March 12, 2018 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He and his 12-year-old brother were in a bedroom when the older boy found a gun, picked it up and accidentally shot and killed his younger brother.
