Marquette Arnaud Clark

Age 16

Jacksonville, Florida

Killed for his cellphone and shoes

He was no stranger to death. A news article about him would report that the cover photo on his Facebook account, deactivated now, "shows him next to the grave" of a 16-year-old killed in January 2017.

He was known as a good kid. He was respectable. He lived with his mother. He wanted to get to know his neighbor’s daughter, so he had recently asked permission to date her.

Marquette Arnaud Clark, 16, was shot near Ken Knight Drive and Moncrief Road in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 20, 2018, just one mile from his home. His family said he was killed for his shoes and cellphone.
