Marcus Jones

Age 18

Oakland, Tennessee

Shot by his half-brother over nothing

He had graduated from Fayette Ware High School just a couple weeks before, proudly carrying the title Class Clown. Friends and loved ones described him as funny, hard working, determined, dedicated.

He was enrolled at a local community college for the upcoming fall, but was awaiting acceptance papers to fulfill his lifelong dream of joining the Air Force.

Marcus Jones, 18, got into an argument with his half-brother over a small sum of money and a honey bun on June 6, 2018, six days before his birthday. He was shot dead with a 40 caliber pistol at his residence in Fayette County, Tennessee.
