He had already made plans with his girlfriend to get a limo for the upcoming prom at Battle Creek Central High School.
The oldest of five sons, he did his best to make life easier for his mom. He was “my captain,” Shirley Waller, his mother, told WWMT. “He'd be like ‘get into bed.’ I come in and he'd already got food cooked and everybody playing their games.”
On April 16, 2018, Marcus Milkel Flanigan, 17, died at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.
