La’Quan Link

Age 16

Nashville, Tennessee

A dynamic duo — down to one

The only brother in a houseful of sisters, he was always the guy to crack a joke, lighten up the mood, pass his smile to everyone around him. He was especially close with his cousin; they went together like fireworks and the Fourth of July. They considered themselves brothers.

Come fall, he would enter junior year in his football jersey, ready to take on another season on the field.

La’Quan Link, 16, was fatally shot in the chest on June 14, 2018, in front of his cousin and younger sister, on the sidewalk in front of his house. He didn’t make it back inside.
