She was 18 and about to graduate from Milwaukee’s Harold St. Vincent High School. She wore a broad, white-toothed smile and thick, winged eyeliner fit for the model and artist she was going to become.
“I'm about to graduate for her — go to prom for her,” her best friend of eight years would say. “I'm going to live my life for her, and she will always live on in my soul.”
Kiara Lashay Brown was fatally shot on March 26, 2018 in the passenger seat of a car by a former boyfriend.
