Kayden Austin Samuel Smith

Age 14

New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania

He loved gaming and the outdoors

He grew up in Pennsylvania, where he spent time outside hunting, fishing, going to the beach, and camping. He had a big family: three sisters, four brothers, grandparents, a great-grandparent, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also into gaming. On his Facebook page, he would livestream videos of himself playing Fortnite, the popular battle royale video game. One of his videos has over 100 views. He shared clips of others playing Fortnite, too.

Kayden Austin Samuel Smith, 14, died from an accidental gunshot wound to the head on Jericho Road in Centre Township, Pennsylvania, on May 27, 2018.
