Joseph Aggison

Age 18

Opelousas, Louisiana

He got caught in the crossfire

In 2017, 25 shots were fired at his home. He ducked for cover until the police came. After that attack, his twin brother, Joel, said: “We’re blessed. We just thank God for another day, really.”

The Opelousas Senior High School student lived with his mom, three brothers and 7-month-old niece. Nineteen months after the first shootout, there was another.

Joseph Aggison, 18, was shot in the neck in front of his home on Pulford Street in Opelousas, Louisiana, on Oct. 20, 2018. He died shortly after.
