He was the youngest of four brothers.
He was lying in a bed across from his 17-year-old brother, who had a gun that he had found a couple of days earlier. The older boy was on his cell phone and rolled over, paying the weapon no mind until he heard a loud “BANG.” He called 911 and gave his younger brother CPR. While others tried to help, the damage was already done.
Joesus West died after being accidentally shot in the head on July 15, 2018, in Cleveland. He was 13 years old.
