Joel Keshon Green

Age 18

Toccoa, Georgia

An interrupted trail of Facebook photos

He was “YG” to his friends, “Boon-key” to his family members.

Just six days earlier, his mother had posted a picture of him with his brother. In it, he sports a white sleeveless tee. His deep-set brown eyes accompany a hint of a smile, as though the photo had been taken a second too early. “I love them till the death of me! Meant that, said it too!” reads the Facebook caption.

Joel Keshon Green, 18, was shot on Aug. 8, 2018, in Toccoa, Georgia behind the Toccoa Pawn Shop on South Alexander Street.
