Saint Louis, Missouri

He waited facing the wrong direction

The teenager was a student at Jennings Senior High School and College Prep Academy. He “loved his brothers, sister and especially is mother and grandma” and was kind-hearted and very respectful. His nicknames were “Quise” and “Ja-Ja.”

One early Sunday, he sat in the backseat of a car facing the wrong way near Jennings Station Road and Natural Bridge Avenue.

Jaquise Earl Hopson, 18, was shot dead on Nov. 4, 2018, in Saint Louis, Missouri, after a gun deal had gone wrong. Police found four firearms in the car, including an AR-15 rifle.
