Road rage cuts off young life

At 17, she was a young entrepreneur with a photography business called ”Shotsbytwins,” which she launched with her twin sister, Ja'Mya.

She had recently moved from Shreveport, Louisiana, to Atlanta, Georgia, where she wanted to attend college. She believed in God and lived through his word.

JaNae Owens was shot and killed on the evening of June 20, 2018, in Decatur, Georgia, while in the car with her mother. Police called it a case of “road rage.” Her mother was severely wounded. Ja’Mya was physically unharmed.
