She thought it was a BB gun

She was a junior in high school. She went to a party on a Saturday night.

Someone pulled out a handgun and started passing it around. It made its way to a 19-year-old man, whom she jokingly told to shoot her in the leg. She thought it was a BB gun. Instead, he raised the gun to her head.

Jakiyah Kalasza Wrightsil, 16, was shot and killed on Oct. 7, 2018, at a party in Dallas, Texas. Police found her body on the living room floor. Her shooter was charged with manslaughter.
