He loved sports as a spectator, player, and gamer. Whether it was Giants or the Houston Rockets games, he was always glued to the action. When he was younger, he played basketball for the Pershing Middle School Pandas. He also loved to play NFL Madden 12 and NBA 2k12.

After graduating from Stratford High School, he planned to attend the University of Texas at Austin.

Jacobi Delawrence Simmons-Lawrence, 18, was shot and killed on July 19, 2018 on South Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston.
