Jace Alexander

Age 2

Fresno, California

No longer giving the "best" hugs

He was the smart and precocious baby brother of two older siblings. He gave the best hugs and was always smiling.

On Saturday morning, his dad went to work, leaving his dad’s fiancée to prepare him breakfast and feed him. Then, she let him sit in front of the TV and watch cartoons.

On Saturday, July 7, 2018, Jace Alexander, 2, accidentally shot himself in the head using a Sig Sauer semiautomatic pistol in Fresno, California. The gun belonged to a roommate who’d left it unsecured.
