Isaiah Tavion Jackson

Age 17

Huntsville, Alabama

Vibrant young man. Rare smile. Accident.

Resting atop his lilac shirt, the bandana-patterned bow tie was as “vibrant” as the personality his family remembered. His dimpled smile, with the teeth that shone brighter than the piercings in his ears, was “rare,” a friend wrote in an online obituary.

“He stood up for me,” said another. At Roger B. Chaffee Elementary School, he was “always so sweet and kind,” said yet another.

Isaiah Tavion Jackson, 16, was shot and killed in Huntsville, Alabama, on Oct. 18, 2018. Police believe he was accidentally shot by his 15-year-old brother.
