Children bury parents, not the opposite

He was vibrant. That’s how his mother described him. As one of nine children, he was the family clown.

In late December, he was with his sister when a group ambushed him and shots were fired, according to his father.

Isaiah Balbona was shot on Dec. 28, 2018, in Opa-locka, Florida. He was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died 14 hours later. “My son was 18 years old, not perfect, but he was my son,” his grieving father said. “Children bury parents; parents don’t bury children.”
